Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system perfromance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0 , NASCAR 2.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housekeeping 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do??
Signed, Desparate
Dear Desparate,
First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.
Please enter the command: "hhtp. I Thought You Loved Me.html" and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loud Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of your system resources).
Also, do not attempt it reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.
Good Luck,
Tech Support

What is it?? Wednesday
Of course I had to put shells in my canister this week!! After spending a week in Nags Head in the Outer Banks, I took many walks along the beach and stooped down countless times finding all kinds of treasures. After two days of trying to find the "perfect" sea shells....like the kind I am accustomed to finding along the beach in Delray Beach, Florida....I was having no luck. I kept walking and looking.....until it dawned on me that these scraggy, ugly ones were actually natures beauties too. So these are the ones I brought home with me....to admire and remind me of the great memories of our beach vacation.

Eat, Pray, Love

I've never written a book review...this is my first!! But I felt compelled to give my opinion the book I just finished reading while on vacation in the Outer Banks. Eat, Pray, Love is a book about one woman's search for everything. It has been on the New York Times paperback nonfiction list for over a year....with over 5 million copies in print. Driven to despair by her divorce and an anquished love affair Elizabeth Gilbert flees New York City for the three I's...Italy, India and Indonesia. She spends four months in each country.....going to Italy to the learn the language and enjoy the cuisine...India to meditate in an ashram, and Indonesia to recconect with a healer in Bali.
There are dozens of characters she meets and you'll wish you were there with her....being friends with all them too. Her prose is witty and hilarious....paying attention to metaphors and details. The most likable writer I have met in a while.....Having said all this, I must say when I started reading this book I knew no one's opinion of it and really had no idea what it was about....only seeing people's nose in it. A friend gave it to me last summer and I only started it on my trip to Disney in May. I sailed through her time spent in Italy. At that point I couldn't believe how many people came up to me to ask me how I was liking it so far....I've never had so many people ask me that about a book I was reading. At that point I was loving it. I found out though.....there were a good many readers out there who didn't enjoy it.......well...I found out when why I got to the section on India. It was DRAGGING!!!!!! I have NEVER taken so long to finish a book....but I HAD too.......so I brought it with me on our trip. It took me almost an entire week to read 80 pages!!! I was the one telling everyone how I really didn't like it...and I was hoping her four months in Indonesia would be fabulous and let me finish the book on a better note. I wasn't dissappointed! Her four months in Bali were terrific and I must say I closed the last page feeling very satisfied that I stuck it out.
For once I'm ahead of the game....having read the book before the release of the movie. I can't wait to see how Julia Roberts plays the part of Liz. I will be sure to see it when it comes to theaters.

Outer Banks
What a wonderful week in the Outer Banks! Our weather was FAB.U.LOUS!! Sunny and 85 degrees, with just 15 minutes of rain Friday morning...that quickly turned back to sunshine. We spent the week migrating between the beach, the pool, the hottub and the theater room stocked with over 400 dvds!!! With breif stopovers in the kitchen for snacks and meals. I was happy to keep up on my running and a bit of ab work with my niece.......it helped to balance out the happy hours and candy on the beach! It was sooooo nice to kick back and relax...sprinkled with long walks on the beach and dolphin watching.
One evening we went up to the dunes in Kill Devil Hills. We got there just in time for sunset. What a great night...we climbed and ran down the dunes for a while and just stood in awe at the views......you could see the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. Of course we had to stop in a few "knick knack" shops...as Cubby calls the souvenir shops. He's quite the shopper!!!! We picked out a few treasures to take home.
I got myself and two of my sister in laws Outer Banks hats....they picked what color they wanted and left the pink one for me....which is the one I secretly wanted. It matched the chair I sat in all week and one of the suits I brought with me :) And check out my new ankle bracelet....of course I brought leather cord to dangle stuff from!! We collected shells during the day and made jewelry at night!!!!
Here are my in laws with 14 of their grandchildren ranging in age from 22 to 2 years. They were sooooo happy to have us all together for the week. Wonderful memories to last a lifetime!!!

What is it?? Wednesday
Well....this week my beloved canister has made it's way down to my craft room for a bit. I stashed my chipboard letters in it. For all of you scrapbookers out there, you can never have too many!!!!!! I collect them in my travels...scrapbook stores, Joanne's, Michael's, Walmart, Target etc.... I'm on a scrapbooking roll over here. While Cubby was away I worked on a Disney scrapbook for my cousins little girl and finished 20 pages!!! And I'm just about 2 years away from catching up Cindy Lou and T. to the present day. I'm thinking if I keep up the pace I might celebrate the completion by the fall. Whoop!! Whoop!!! Then I'll start Cubbys!!!! Always a project going on over here.

sprinkler + tramp = summer fun!!
Cindy Lou was with her girlfriends and T. was at a buddys house. I had been running around getting stuff done and Cubby was playing with all of his long lost toys. With being away at my Dad's for almost four weeks it was like he came home to Christmas morning......everything seemed brand new again! Well...it turned out to be a hooooott sunny day and I surprised him with setting the sprinkler up under the tramp.....one of his favorite things to do!
He was soooo excited! It doesn't take much to make him happy....my favorite little Cubby Cub!!
Happy Summer!!!!!
