Fourth of July Treats......
I wanted to share with you the treats I made for the picnic yesterday.....I've made this brownie shortcake for the past several years...it seems so appropriate with red, white and blue...here's the recipe if you'd like to try it:
1 package of your favorite brownie mix
1 16 oz. container of sour cream
1 cup thawed Cool Whip
1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups cut up strawberries and blueberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Divide batter and spoon into 2 cake pans.
Bake 45 mins; cool 10 mins. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
Mix remaining sour cream, whipped topping, sugar and vanilla. Place brownie on a plate; spread half of the sour cream mixture. Cover with top brownie., remaining sour cream mixture and fruit. Store in refrigerator.
I decided I had to celebrate the Fourth of July with cupcakes too!!!! They were YUUUUUMMY!!! Hope your Fourth was Happy :)
