Today was Cubby's first day of First grade. He was thrilled and I was devastated. My baby will gone away from me all day. I've been dreading it from the time he was in kindergarten....and have shed tears since before school let out last year. Yes, I am a crier when my kiddos go back to school. I'm not one of those who are happy about the kids going back. I just don't like them spending more time with their teachers and friends than with me. No more fun outings, sleeping in, watching movies, playing outside, riding bikes and going out to lunch. I'm sure I will get adjusted and get used to it.....but I still don't like it.

I'm with you, Treat. I'm a total crier too. I'm filled with regret about "all of the things we didn't get to do" as soon as they leave!!
He looks pretty excited! I wish I could say I cried when Mr. G went to Kindergarten this year. Instead I said a prayer for his teacher!
Hope school is going well for Cubby! Action started 1st grade as well ~ I do miss him all day as does Smiley (we miss Sassy too). The last few days just out of the blue Smiley will start saying, "God bless Hannah and Jackson and Hannah and Jackson...." in her sweet little 23 month voice. Sooooo cute!
:( me too, I really didn't like the start of the school year either. My kids are growing up too fast and I just wanna make them stop growing.
