I LOOOOVVE My Goodwill!!

I just couldn't not give a run-down on my latest treasures from my local Goodwill. I have to say...there are sooooooo many of my blogging buddies that score on some great junk that they transform into A.MAZ.ING stuff....I go in my store with an open mind...looking for stuff I can transform too...but anymore, I'm just being lucky with great stuff just the way it is! Tuesday and Thursday nights Cindylou has karate and that's when I make a run for my GW....to do a quick run through and see what's new....come along and let me show you what I've found......Do you remember when my dear friend surprised me with the little Frosty on the left??? Well...I found two more!! On two different days!! I was thinking of filling them with treats and giving them away next year.....but now that I have them on my counter I love them too much to part with them.....I always love things in threes!

How about this cute little clear bubble glass dish with a wrought iron holder. I saw it on a Tuesday night and loved it. I've been wanting something for the middle of my kitchen table FOR.EVER....not a runner, or anything too big that I'd have to move for every meal...just something perfect like this. I left without it....I wasn't sure....but I thought about it all night. And I knew I had seen it somewhere before....I went back for it the very next morning. After I came home with it and put a candle in it, my SIL was over and said, "Were you at a Southern Livning party? I got that same one!" Well, noooooo I got it at the Goodwill for $4.99 :) She paid $35! And she also said she put salsa and dips in it as well as M&M's. Yeah.

And do you remember this????? The perfect lamp for next to Cindylou's bed. Check it out HERE .....I got it when I was re-doing Cindylou's room. An old guy was carrying it around????? And I just KNEW he wasn't going to get it...duh...so I followed him until he put it down and swooped in for it. $5.99.

I got this a while ago and it's in T's room....that's the start of our Hawaii fund. A few weeks ago we counted up what was in there and it was $99. Just that one little layer....I can't imagine how much it will be when it's filled up.

Oh!!! Look at the smile on my face with this dress on!!!!! My latest score...I wasn't even looking for a dress...which always seems to happen to me, but I just turned my head and there it was! Brand new from ANN TAYLOR.....fits me perfect! We always go to a black tie thing in March...I know I have something in my closet I can wear, but I couldn't leave it there for $4.99...would you?????

I got this backpack for Cubby for his fifth birthday....he was allllll into Cars and that was the theme of his birtday. It was brand new with the tags on it from Target. He still uses it for carrying his stuff around.

How 'bout these skinny jeans from the Gap? Loooove the dark wash and the weight...all for just $4.99. Paired with my great boots that I got when I went away with the Soul Sisters for our Weekend Smackdown.

OH, and this is a story......I scored on this hoodie from my college for $3.99....pefect condition....I had been to visit with a few of my college roomates and was feeling nostalic. The next day our college bulletin came in the mail, it got me thinking I should really call the bookstore at school and order a hoodie...to show my support for my alma mater and keep me warm and cozy while I remember all the fun times I had there. Two days later this hoodie was hanging on the end of a rack right when I walked in!!!!!!!! Just hanging there! And it's not like my school is popular or right around the corner......No one has ever heard of it, I can't imaging who in my little town went there??? And how it ended up at the GW???? I know you're all just saying, "Shut Up!"

Then there's the jeans......my favorite go-to jeans....comfy and worn in...from the Gap....$5.99. You guys.....for real! Sometimes I just can't believe my luck!

Okay.....let's move on to shoes...The ones on the left my mom got me for my birthday at the Nine West store in Boca, Florida at the Town Center mall for $79.99. The identical ones on the right in black, I got at my Goodwill for $3.99....you know how I am when I find the perfect shoe/boot......gotta have them in both colors! :)

And I know you all had a pair of these when you were younger....Dr. Scholl's. I wore mine EVERY day.....these are BRAND NEW! They are back.......

Look how brand new they are...never worn.

I was happy for days when I found these all-leather slippers from L.L.Bean. I have my favorite brown suede slippers I wear day in and day out...and I had JUST been thinking I would like a black pair.....a few days later I found these. They are in perfect shape.....comfy....I wear them all time. They were $3.99. I just HAD to look them up online at L.L.Bean's...guess how much they were??? $79.99!!!!! For slippers!

It's crazy what people donate these days.....on the days I drive by without stopping I wonder what I'm missing. There are days when every parking spot is filled. Lots of people finding treasures. So don't just go in looking for stuff for your latest craft project....there are tons of great deals, go find one today!

Ok, I have been the crazy lady in the big car that is overloaded with stuff to donate, waiting in line at that very busy GW just to drop stuff off. If I could find a parking spot, maybe I'd go in!

It's true, one man's trash is another man's treasure. What great finds! And you look stunning in your dress--it was made for you!
That is a cool lamp in your daughter's room, too.

Wow, you have found some great stuff! I never find anything new at my GW. Just junk. Wish I lived near you!

Great post! My 6 year old daughter likes to shop at thrift stores for her clothes! We find a good deal every now and again. The sales associates are also shocked at what people donate, one said that a new Louis Vuitton purse with tags came through once and was still there 24 hours later so she was able to snap it up for $30!
